What is the difference between shortwave, mediumwave and longwave infrared?
The ECOSUN Design Heatstrip uses long-wave infrared technology, which works perfectly in enclosed verandas and indoor spaces. Long-wave infrared works best in enclosed, windless environments. For sheltered outdoor spaces, you'll need medium-wave infrared (such as LXV Smart), and for fully open patios where wind and rain aren't a problem, you'll need short-wave infrared (such as Heliosa).
